Robotics Competition
Fulton Science Academy High School Robotics teams will be competing at the South Carolina State
competition, on Saturday, February 23. Winning either would mean entrance into the world
tournament in St. Louis.
FSA High Award Ceremony
Fulton Science Academy High School award ceremony was held on this past Tuesday, February 12. Students were awarded for their hard work they demonstrated in Fall 2012. 102 students were presented Honor Roll and Principal Honor Roll certificates. For Principal Honor Roll, students must have had a numeric average of a 95 or above where as an average between 90 and 94 would allow students to be placed in Honor Roll. 23 students received perfect attendance award.

FSA MedShare Team
MDJunior team joined MedShare in giving medical supplies a second life that saves lives!
Team leader O. Oncul and 3 members (M. Kilic, H. Aslan and F. Uduk) were at Decatur on Saturday Feb 2nd to join MedShare’s volunteer activity. MDJunior team helped sort, box and prepare surplus medical supplies for shipment to economically disadvantaged countries around the world.
MDJunior also had the chance to host a seminar with Dr. Arun Nayyar at FSA High on Friday, Feb 1st. Dr. Nayyar is a former Director of Fixed Prosthodontics at the School of Dentistry, Medical College of Georgia, Augusta. He maintains a referral based Fixed Restorative practice in Atlanta. He talked about his field, oral discoveries and inventions, and how to make a career in dentistry field.

FSA High School Beta Club
The Fulton Science Academy High School Beta Club raised $156 for the victims of hurricane Sandy. The Beta Club members sold a variety of snacks at lunch – snacks that they purchased or made themselves – and 100% of the proceeds are being donated to the cause. Students donated the snacks and then donated their time during lunch to sell the snacks to their classmates. The most popular items were brownies and home-made cakepops! Thanks to the members who brought in snacks and/or sold them during lunch! It was a great effort for a worthy cause!

Fulton Science Academy High School Robotics Team won the Inspire Award
Members of FSA’s robotics team, number 560 *STAR* LGM, J. Morgan, A. Ahmed, B. Lowrey, R. Smith, J. Conn, and L. Robinson competed at a robotics qualifier. Up against 13 teams, LGM worked hard and won the Inspire Award, the highest honor in the competition, after being nominated for every other award in the tournament. Winning this award means that LGM qualifies for the State level competition in Georgia. FSA High School teams will also be competing at the South Carolina State competition. Winning either would mean entrance into the world tournament in St. Louis.
